Scriblerus Press is a small press based in Portland, Oregon. We publish the series Culture And… Each Culture And… volume features an exclusive collection of thoughtful, provocative essays on the cultural significance of a particular pop culture phenomenon. With the Culture And… series, we offer fans of popular culture fresh ways of appreciating how its hidden dimensions have a powerful social impact. In so doing, we hope to introduce to a wider audience the exciting field of Culture Studies.
The working title for the inaugural volume, due out in 2014, is Our Whole Universe: Essays on Culture and The Big Bang Theory.
Going forward, we plan to publish 1 to 2 volumes annually. In the summer of 2013, we’ll post a call for submissions for series editors to propose new volumes.
